In ChatbotX, Actions work like silent assistants behind the scenes. When a customer passes through an Action block in a Flow, the system immediately performs the task you configured — applying a Tag, saving data, assigning the conversation to a team member — while showing no message at all to the customer. This keeps automations invisible and frictionless.

How to Create an Action

Open the node menu

In Flow Builder, click the + icon below the canvas and select Perform Action.

Add the Action block

A blank block appears on the canvas. Click it, then choose Create to open the full actions menu.

Choose your action

Browse the 13 categories below and select the action that fits your use case. Configure any required fields, then save.

These actions are designed specifically for your Facebook Messenger channel. They let you customize the chat interface and personalize the chatbot’s visual identity directly within the Flow.
Messenger Actions only apply to contacts on the Facebook Messenger channel. They have no effect on WhatsApp, Instagram, or other channels.
